This week’s member spotlight is on 510 Art Lab located at 510 Sinclair Lewis Avenue in Sauk Centre. 

🎨510 Art Lab is a makerspace that provides space and equipment to their (over 50!) members in a variety of art mediums. They reach out to the Central Minnesota community through classes, events, open houses and a variety of other ways. 🖼️ 510 Art Lab has many opportunities for members and nonmembers like a new Listening Room with unique performances and classes that fit every level of artistic ability. 🖌️ They’re just starting their second year of membership with the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and find it beneficial because they have several members in the Glenwood Area and it’s a great way to stay connected to our community.

🍺 Minnewaska House Brewing Co + Grill is a full-service bar, brewpub and restaurant located at 24895 State Highway 28 owned by Darren and Angie Anderson.  🍖This summer they’re celebrating 20 years and the business opened in 1965! One thing you might not know is that they operate a charcoal grill and that their brewery opened in 2020.

🍔Staff Spotlight: Sparky (Joel Spark) is their main “grill master” and started as a dishwasher as a teenager! 🥩 He’s worked his way up and has now been there over 35 years!

The reason they’ve been members of the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber since inception: They like being included on the website and having access to member-only benefits (like adding open jobs & sharing of specials and events) along with knowing it’s an essential part of being involved in the community.

⚜️Boy Scouts of America has been around since 1910 - and the Northern Lights Council is celebrating 50 years this year! 🧝🏻‍♂️ 

🏞️ Northern Lights Council covers the entire state of North Dakota, 18 counties in northwest Minnesota, and 2 counties each in Montana and South Dakota. ⛺ They’ve been Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce members since 2023.

🌙 Scouting provides 5–20-year-old males and females with positive adult role models, positive peer relationships, leadership and service while engaged in a year-round, action oriented outdoor program.  🔦 

🏕️ What is one thing you think people might not know about your business or organization? 🐻 "Cub Scouts (boys and girls K-5 Grade) is a family centered program that provides a safe environment and encourages learning by doing. Advancement is based on achievement; and community service is introduced. 🌾 Scouts BSA (boys and girls ages 11-18) focuses on leadership development, team building, participatory citizenship, and self-reliance. 🛠️Members are responsible for planning and organizing. Activities include learning new skills while having fun doing things outdoors. 🚵🏻 Advancement is based on achievement and community service is a requirement for all ranks."
